A beach walk on the first real, spring-like day. The lily of the valley in my garden have started to peek through the soil, and the hydrangea are covered with light green buds. How appropriate that this tiny bit of sea glass would also flash a verdant green in the wash of tide line tan and brown. Perhaps on another day I may have walked past it without notice, but on the first warm day it stood out as boldly as any bit of green in a garden.
