Dash and dots. No translation necessary.
Rough hewn, yet delicate. Color-burst amidst monochrome. This still life is in perfect balance.
One object, but the many dew drops collected on the surface transform it into a delicate still life. Together the feather and dew create an almost meditative arrangement. Gentle, simple, yet exquisitely positioned and compellingly presented.
Big, bigger, biggest. Small, smaller, smallest. Three remnants of crabs, with the carcass of the mid-sized crab beautifully dotted with dew. The littlest slips into the blur, as the large carcass and even larger claw take over the tableau.
“Lost: One perfectly-peach slipper. Lost when running from the changing tide. If found, please return to Sea Cinderella.”
Again, I am amazed by the random juxtaposition of complementary colors on the tide line. This very tiny little peach shell with the piece of purple-blue coquina is just perfect. The gentle swirls of the shell add a lovely textural … Continue reading
The trees are mostly bare now, and after a storm many of the leaves end up in the sand, creating lovely still lifes, such as this one.
