I am not sure what kind of shell this is, but it sure is gnarly compared to the surrounding shells; almost like an old guy holding court, or telling a story of days gone by.
The sand on this particular beach is absolutely lovely, and I wish I had taken more photos of just the sand itself, perhaps with a macro lens.
