Early morning shadows are often delightful.
Sometimes things just line up . . . On the tide line and in life.
From the placement, the color, and the curve of each object, this made an almost perfect composition.
The froth remains for only the briefest moments, but it often frames tide line treasures when it is there.
I have no idea what variety of jellyfish this is. It is easy, though, to imagine it as a creature from a 1950’s sci-fi ready to gobble up those poor, hapless shell fragments.
What has this ancient oyster seen? How far has it traveled? Where has it been carried after its moments on my tide line?
The tilt of the shell and its swoops of red coloration drew me in. The square hole with its peek-a-boo interior “shade” compelled me to take a closer look.
Can you see it?
Some mornings, the sun is so bright, that the shadows are what take precedent over the forms themselves.
