Admit it, we have all doodled on the edge of a piece of paper – at school, business meeting, waiting for the tea water to boil. This still life was nothing less than the tide line doodling for me.
A lost bit of down and the print of a gull’s foot – echoes of a morning’s breakfast. I absolutely love the simplicity of the story in this still life. Thanks for the title suggestion, MVS!

As perfectly formed as if by a jeweler, this small piece of clam shell looks like filigree. We did pick it up after photographing, and it will be made into a necklace.
