I am always startled and delighted to find a ‘heart rock’. Not long after Hurricane Sandy, I came across this on the tide line in NJ. I can’t determine what it is made of; it may even be a long-tumbled piece of asphalt. Whatever its composition, coming across it on the beach not long after the storm was a nice surprise… its color and density were more than appropriate for the day and my mood. I love the ocean, but it is not always a gentle beast.
I really like this image!
Thanks! I kept this stone . . . Too remarkable to leave there on the tide line.
