Happy Thanksgiving to all of you here in the US and those of you all over the world. Some of you may not be familiar with this American holiday. Although it commemorates the earliest settlers, it is more significant as a day when we celebrate family and friends together. The holiday is not associated with any religion or ethnic group, and each family establishes its own traditions.
So today 15 of us will gather in our house and give thanks for one another and for so many other blessings. We will eat turkey, stuffing, roasted root veggies, cranberry sauce, and lots of other goodies. Wherever you are in the world, American or not, take a minute and think about even one thing you are thankful for today. You may not have the traditional dinner or even family close by, but you will have a sense of what is the heart of this holiday for us.
We have so very much to be thankful for today. Happy Thanksgiving!
