A winter beach, swept by wind and waves, creates dramatic patterns in the sand.
Conversation. Argument. Cluster. Combination. Some days I feel like one of the mussels . . . and other mornings I relate more to the ancient shell fragment. This winter it depends on how much snow is accumulated outside the window!

Absolutely perfectly circular bubbles remained in this mussel moments after the tide receded. They echoed the several air holes in the surrounding sand. Balance!
