Our family welcomed a new little girl this week with the birth of a granddaughter. This tiny little mussel seems to also be celebrated as it sits confidently by itself on the shell fragment.
The interior of this mussel simply shouted, “Look at me”, as I walked the beach. All of about an inch in length, the many colors inside were bottomless.
“… and for its last act, the small jellyfish magnified the world around him before being washed out to the ocean. It was an act of beauty.”
